Turkey's president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has seized control of 50 Syriac churches, the Christian Headlines website reports today (July 5, 2017).
Erdogan and his government are intentionally targeting Christian churches in their attempt to bring Sharia Law to Turkey.
Among the churches taken over by the government is the 1600-year-old Mor Gabriel Monastery -- one of the world's oldest places of worship.
Turkey -- a predominantly Islamic country -- has a long history of being hostile toward Christians.
