Ohio Man Pleads Guilty to Terrorism Charges; Also Is Guilty of Trying to Kill a Federal Judge

An Ohio man has pleaded guilty to terrorism charges as well as trying to murder a federal judge, the Clarion Project website reports today (July 12, 2017).

Yahya Farooq Mohammad, 39, traveled to Yemen to deliver $22,000, equipment, and other assistance to Anwar Al-Awlaki, an American who was then head of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

Mohammad also admitted to soliciting an undercover FBI employee who was posing as a hitman to kidnap and murder U.S. District Judge Jack Zouhary for $15,000.

Zouhary was assigned as the judge in his case.
