An emir (high ranking officer) in the Islamic State in Mosul, Iraq has been killed by a woman who had been captured and used as his sex slave for three months, the Clarion Project website reports today (September 10, 2015).
The revenge was taken against the man named Abu Annas for all the rapes and abuse she suffered while in captivity.
Thousands of women -- mostly Yazidis -- have been captured by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) group and forced into sex slavery. Often, the Yazidi women are forced to convert to Islam and then married to their captors.
Many Muslim women have also been forced into marriage with IS fighters, after the terror group offers payoffs for the girls to their families who are desperate for money.
