A Hungarian TV camerawoman was fired yesterday after footage appeared to show her kicking migrants -- including children -- as they ran from a police line during disturbances at Roszke, southern Hungary, the Times of Israel website reports today (September 9, 2015).
The woman, Petra Laszlo, can be seen in the footage tripping a man sprinting with a child in his arms, and kicking other running children in two separate incidents.
Footage of the incidents appeared on N1TV, an internet-based TV station closely linked to Hungary's far-right Jobbik party.
"An N1TV colleague today behaved in an unacceptable way at the Roszke collection point," said a statement from N1TV's editor-in-chief Szabolcs Kisberk. "The camerawoman's employment contract has been terminated with immediate effect as of today; we consider the matter closed," it read.
