A mosque was badly burned outside Seattle yesterday morning, and police believe the fire was intentionally set, the CNN website reports today (January 15, 2017).
The fire occurred in Bellevue, Washington. No one was in the Islamic Center of Eastside at the time.
"We have confirmed it was arson, but do not know a motive," Bellevue Police Chief Steve Mylett said.
He added that Isaac Wayne Wilson, 37, was charged with felony malicious mischief and is being investigated for arson. Wilson is being held at a Seattle jail where he has been denied bail.
