Saudi Arabia Beheads Woman Practicing Sorcery; Claimed She Could Heal Illness Using Witchcraft

The Daily Beast website reports that Saudi Arabia executed a woman today (December 12, 2011) for practicing magic and sorcery, which is banned in the ultra-conservative kingdom.

Amina bin Abdulhalim Nassar was beheaded, according to the Saudi interior ministry.

She was convicted for claiming she could treat people's illnesses using witchcraft.

Saudi Arabia has beheaded 73 people this year.
