A Nebraska elementary school principal, who banned all Christmas-related items in her school, has been placed on administrative leave, the USA Today website reports today (December 8, 2018).
Jennifer Sinclair, principal of Manchester Elementary School -- located near Omaha -- sent her staff a memo on holiday symbols that does not reflect the Elkhorn Public Schools District's policies, according to a district statement.
Religious freedom advocacy group Liberty Counsel argued the school ban of Christmas items violated the students' constitutional rights.
In fact, the Christmas items that Sinclair banned were secular items, not religious items.
