Anti-Semitic incidents on U.S. college campuses have been seeing an upward trend in the last few weeks, with Teachers College at Columbia University becoming the latest target, the College Post News website reports today (December 1, 2018).
On November 28, Jewish faculty member Elizabeth Midlarsky found her office walls painted with red swastikas and anti-Semitic slurs.
"I walked in the door of my office and found myself staring at a swastika and was absolutely shocked," Midlarsky said.
The university said in a statement: "We unequivocally condemn any expression of hatred, which has no place in our society. We are outraged and horrified by this act of aggression and use of this vile anti-Semitic symbol against a valued member of our community."
