Anti-Semitic Fliers Put on Autos at San Francisco; Called Jewish Community in Lafayette "Serpents"

Some 100 anti-Semitic fliers were placed on car windshields in parking lots located at the Lafayette Bay Area Rapid Transit stations near San Francisco, the JTA (Jewish Telegraphic Agency) website reports today (September 29, 2016).

The fliers -- discovered on the evening of September 27 -- referred to the Jewish community as "serpents" and advocated for separating Jews from children, according to the NBC Bay Area affiliate.

The Bay report said the fliers are believed to have been printed and distributed by a local man who runs an anti-Semitic blog that targets members of the Jewish community in Lafayette.

NBC Bay Area reported that leafleting is permitted under free speech statutes.
