A suicide bomber struck at an Iraqi market today (July 17, 2015), killing more than 100 people, according to the Newser website.
The Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility, boasting that the vehicle used in the blast had three tons of explosives.
The explosion brought down multiple buildings in the town of Khan Bani Saad, northeast of Baghdad.
The market was packed with people who were buying food in preparation for the end of the feasting month of Ramadan.
