ISIL Butchers Kill 1,700 Iraqis, Now in Baghdad; US Marines, Soldiers Also Being Sent to Baghdad

The terrorist group ISIL (Islamic State of the Levant) arrived in Baghdad today (June 15, 2014) -- setting off multiple explosions in the area -- the Homeland Security website reports.

The U.S. is evacuating some embassy staff in Baghdad, but "will remain fully equipped to handle its national security mission there," said U.S. officials. ISIL has massacred 1,700 captured Iraqi soldiers during the past few days, and has released a video of the barbaric murders.

ISIL leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi directed a threat statement at the United States: "Soon we will be in direct confrontation and the sons of Islam have prepared for such a day."

Additional airlift assets and U.S. Marines and Army soldiers are being sent to Baghdad. Other embassies have been asked to evacuate Baghdad by the Iraqi government.
