Two Turkish students have been arrested for giving a Nazi salute to Israeli students while on a trip to a former concentration camp in Poland, the World Bulletin website reports today (October 13, 2013).
The incident occurred on October 6 at the Majdanek concentration camp just outside of Lubin. Reports say that the two Turkish students chanted "Heil Hitler" along with giving the Nazi salute when they came across a tour group of Israeli students.
Upon receiving complaints from the Israelis, Polish police arrested the pair who will now be prosecuted for fascist propaganda.
The Turkish students are contesting the charges, claiming that they were just joking. If found guilty, they could be sent to prison for three years.
