More than three dozen countries have expressed support for a document declaring that "there is no international right to abortion," the Christian Post website reports today (Nov. 19, 2022).
Lawmakers, pro-life activists, and representatives of 37 governments worldwide gathered on Capitol Hill on Nov. 17 to commemorate the second anniversary of the signing of the Geneva Consensus Declaration on Promoting Women's Health and Strengthening the Family, which declares that "there is no international right to abortion."
The document's name reflects that it was crafted at the 2020 World Health Asembly, which was slated to take place in Geneva, Switzerland, until the coronavirus pandemic forced the event to be held virtually.
