Senate OKs Ketanji Jackson for Supreme Court; Now 1st Black Woman to Be Supreme Court Judge

 The Senate voted yesterday to elect Ketanji Brown Jackson as a judge on he U.S. Supreme Court, a judge who supports abortion and has often been criticized for her light prison sentences for child pornographers, the Life News website reports today (April 8, 2022).


The vote was 53-47 with Republicans Mitt Romney, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins voting with all 50 Democrats.


As a result of yesterday's Senate vote, Jackson becomes the first Black woman to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court,
