Pope Francis told an audience this week that any priest who indulges in "worldliness" is no better than a "pagan," the Yahoo News website reports today (April 15, 2022).
The pontiff told the audience at his homily yesterday that "idolatry" was a persisting problem among Christians, but not always easily recognizable.
The pope claimed that "spiritual worldliness," "pragmatism," and "functionalism" all continued to dilute and corrupt both clergy and laity.
