Russia Warns of Fights with NATO in Arctic Area; Says New Arctic NATO States May Cause Conflicts

 Moscow is concerned with the growing activities of the US-led NATO bloc in the Arctic region, which msy hsve grave security and ecology implications, a senior Russian representative to the Arctic Council, Nikolay Korchunov, said, the RT website reports today (April 17, 2022).

The official made the remarks to the TASS news agency in an interview today. 

"The internationalization of the alliance's military activities in high altitudes, involving non-Arctic NATO states, causes nothing but concern," Korchunov said.
