Russia Is Ousted from UN Human Rights Council; Due to Its Aggression and Savage Acts in Ukraine

Russia has been suspended from the United Nations' Human Rights Council (UNHRC), as a result of its invasion of Ukraine, the Worthy News website reports today (April 10, 2022).

The UN General Assembly voted 93 to 24 to suspend Russia, with 58 abstentions, over allegations of horrific rights violations by Russian  soldiers, which the U.S. and Ukraine have called war crimes.

Moscow described the move as an "unfriendly gesture" and said there will be consequences for bilateral ties.
