While slightly more than half of Americans say they are satisfied with society's treatment of women, a new survey released today (August 13, 2020) shows that the share is way down from where it was five years ago, according to the UPI website.
According to the Gallup poll, conducted from July 8 to July 24, 54% of respondents said they're "very" or "somewhat" satisfied with the treatment of women -- a decline of 10% from 2015.
The share is also well below record highs in the upper 60s and low 70s, Gallup found between 2001 and 2013.
The survey showed that more men (62%) are satisfied with the treatment of females than are women (46%). Four years ago, that split was 66% and 61%.
