Lebanon Blast Kills Over 100, Injures 4,000 More; Govt. Blames Tragedy on a Stockpile of Chemicals

Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab is appealing for international aid after yesterday's deadly explosion in Beirut, the Newsy website reports today (August 5, 2020).

The force of the blast in Beirut was as strong as a 3.5 magnitude earthquake.

The blast has killed more than 100 people, and injured over 4,000.

The government has linked the tragedy to a stockpile of chemicals stored near the port.
