Exclusive: Israel Attack on Iran Seems Imminent; Believes Iran May Already Have Nuclear Weapon

The New American website reports today (November 7, 2011) that an Israeli attack on Iran is becoming increasingly imminent, and that officials in the United States are concerned that they may not be informed before Israel attacks Iran.

American intelligence sources indicate that senior Israeli ministers -- who once opposed a military strike against Iran -- are now supporting such an endeavor. Israeli President Shimon Peres warns that indeed such an attack may soon occur.

The American sources further indicate that Israeli officials have been swayed by updates on the progress Iran has made recently toward building a nuclear program.

Members of the Obama administration claim that Israel's change of heart is based on the belief that Iran may already possess a nuclear weapon.
