Calif. City Drops Charges in Bible Study Case; Had Said Home Bible Study Violated City Ordinance

The case against a Southern California Christian couple -- that was recently fined $300 for holding a Bible study in their home -- has been dismissed, the Christian Broadcast Network website reports today (November 29, 2011).

Last September, city officials in San Juan Capistrano, California cited Chuck and Stephanie Fromm for holding a Bible study in their home.

Officials at that time had said the couple violated a city ordinance by using property developed for residential use for public assembly, and ordered them to stop holding the Bible studies.

Officials have now dismissed the case and refunded the $300 citation fee to the Fromms.
