Migrants housed in overcrowded camps on the Greek islands of Lesbos and Samos are being moved to the mainland, the Euro News website reports today (October 23, 2019).
The islands are close to Turkey and have seen a surge of new arrivals.
The UN refugee agency (UNHCR) says there are now 33,700 refugees living on the two islands.
In late September, a woman died in a fire in a tent at a camp on Lesbos, while a fire in an overcrowded camp on Samos forced hundreds of people into the streets this month.
