Ukraine has banned entry to Russian adult men aged 16-60, President Petro Poroshenko tweeted today (November 30, 2018), according to the Euro News website.
The president said the restrictions had been put in place to prevent Russians from forming "private armies" to fight on Ukraine soil.
The decision comes after the conflict between the two countries escalated on November 25, when Russia seized three Ukrainian ships and their crew, claiming they had illegally entered Russian waters.
Russia was not planning to retaliate by banning Ukrainian men from entering its country.
