While the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group's offensive activity in Syria is now restricted to a small region in the south, its attacks there are as barbaric as ever, the Clarion Project website reports today (July 30, 2018).
IS was behind the July 25 bombings and attacks in As Suwayda, Syria that claimed some 250 lives.
In addition to the dead and wounded, IS took a dozen women hostage and is now demanding ransome payments for their return.
IS also is still active in parts of Iraq, and is even growing in strength in Afghanistan.
