The Islamic State (IS) terror group -- now desperate for more troops due to the loss of many fighters and most of the land it controlled in Iraq and Syria -- has for the first time called on women to carry out terror attacks and wage jihad against the West, the Times of Israel website reports today (October 7, 2017).
A newspaper run by the terror group called on Muslim women to "prepare themselves to defend their religion by sacrificing themselves by Allah."
IS is infamous for its oppression and subjugation of women under its rule, and has entrusted females only with homemaking roles.
The jihadist paper justified its new approach by noting that many Muslim women had in fact partaken in combat in some points in history, including during Islam's Golden Age from the 8th to the 13th century.
