In an interview to an Argentine news site, Pope Francis today (October 23, 2021) confirmed that he is planning to travel to Greece and Cyprus in early December, and urged world leaders preparing for the G20 summit in Rome and COP28 gathering in Glasgow to be creative in how they approach global politics and economics in a post-pandemic world, according to the Crux website.
He also heaped praise on outgoing German Chancellor Angela Merkel, calling her a leader who has made history and a model for women in leadership.
"In the first week of December, I am going to Greece and Cyprus," Pope Francis said to the Argentine news outlet "Telam."
