Jehovah's Witness in Russia Gets 4 Yrs. for Faith; JW Is Seen as an Extremist Rel. Group in Russia

Since April 2020, five men, including Vladimir Skachidub, have been convicted and imprisoned for practicing their faith in Russia's Krasnodar Territory where their religion is considered an extremist group, the Religious News website reports today (October 12, 2021).

Skachidub, a Jehovah's Witness, was convicted and sentenced to four years in prison yesterday, for his religious beliefs.

"I am a Jehovah's Witness, and I am being prosecuted solely for my peaceful religious activities..." said Skachidub during a hearing.
