Federal prosecutors have been investigating Hunter Biden, President-elect Joe Biden's son, to determine if he failed to report income from China-related business deals, the Washington Post website reports today (December 10, 2020).
The tax investigation began in 2018 and was confirmed yesterday by Hunter Biden in a statement saying he had just been advised of it.
"I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. attorney's office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs," Hunter Biden said in a statement.
Hunter Biden's attorney, George Mesires, did not respond to requests by the Washington Post for additional information about the case.
