Supreme Court Backs School Bathroom Policy; Transgender Students Select Bathroom Gender

A group of parents filed an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court to stop transgender students from using bathrooms and locker rooms according to the gender they identify with, the Newsy website reports today (December 9, 2020).

The Supreme Court this week struck down the appeal looking to overturn protections for the transgender students in Oregon.

A small group of parents filed the appeal in an effort to keep the transgender students from using bathrooms and locker rooms according to the gender they identify with.

But the Supreme Court decision will allow the school district policy of letting the students use the facilities they choose to stay in place.
