The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said today (August 8, 2019) that the body of a student, also serving as an IDF soldier, was found early this morning with stab wounds near the city of Hebron, according to the World Israel News website.
He was identified as Ovir Sorek from the town of Ofra.
He was a student in a yeshiva, at the first stage of his military service.
IDF spokesman Ronen Manelis said a missing 19-year-old was reported. Troops called into the area found his body not far from the yeshiva in Gush Etzion.
