A lesbian couple from Mississippi was forced to leave their Baptist church over their relationship, the Raw Story website reports today (August 20, 2019).
Mary Trollinger and her partner Olivia Jennings were notified by letter that they were no longer welcome to Gracewood Baptist Church in Southaven.
The pastor, Barry Baker, signed the letter, telling them they had been unanimously voted out during a special business meeting at the church.
The pastor noted that the couple's recent wedding had prompted the banishment.
