Over 50 Swastikas Found at DC's Union Station; On Morning after Holocaust Remembrance Day

Commuters in the nation's capital found a nasty surprise waiting for them at Union Station on the morning after Holocaust Remembrance Day: more than 50 hand-drawn swastikas on the stone pillars in front of the main entrance, the Washington Times website reports today (January 28, 2022).

Vandals drew the Nazi image overnight, leaving commuters to find them this morning in the building owned by the federal government.

A spokesman said Metropolitan Police Department is assisting Amtrak Police to investigate the incident as a hate crime.
