A Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation in New York City has garnered controversy for its decision to host a pagan sculpture on its property, the Christian Post website reports today (September 18, 2019).
The United Presbyterian Church of Binghamton hosted a 15-foot sculpture known as Sviatovid.
The sculpture, which was created by Bart Kresa Studio designer Akira Wakul, was put on display at the church earlier this month as part of the LUMA Festival.
Sviatovid was a local Slavic god of war, fertility, and abundance in the Baltic region of Europe.
