Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas secretly sold his elderly mother's home and other properties in Georgia in 2014 and received free luxury trips from Republican billionaire Harlan Crow, the Daily Beast website reports today (April 14, 2023).
Several ethics law experts believe that Thomas's silence violates a federal disclosure law.
"Given the role Crow has played in subsidizing the lifestyle of Thomas and his wife, you have to wonder if this was an effort to put cash in their pockets, " one ethics law expert said.
