Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is keeping his word to withhold funds from local school boards that mandate masks in schools, The New American website reports today (August 31, 2021).
In a statement today, Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran announced that the department has withheld the salaries of the school board members for Alachua and Broward Counties, two districts that imposed a mask mandate for its students.
Corcoran added that since parents know what is best for their children, the department will continue "to fight to protect parents' rights to make healthcare decisions for their children."
