President Joe Biden has announced his first annual budget -- a $6 trillion package that includes investments in fighting climate change and steep tax hikes for the wealthy and corporations, the Sky News website reports today (May 29, 2021).
However, it needs approval from Congress and has been condemned by Republicans.
Biden's budget would surpass record levels of debt relative to the GDP (gross domestic product) that have stood since the Second World War.
