A new Gallup poll has found support for a major third U.S. political party steadily rising. as more people than ever refer to themselves as independents while Democrats and Republicans are dropping in approval, the RT website reports today (February 15, 2021).
Only 33 percent of respondents said they felt the two major political parties are adequately representing the system, which is the lowest response to that question, save for 20 percent in 2013.
Half of U.S. adults are also now referring to themselves as independents, the highest number ever recorded by Gallup in a poll.
