Israeli Police Call for Indicting PM Netanyahu; Accuse Him of Bribery, Fraud, No Public Trust

Israeli police today (December 2, 2018) recommended indicting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, on bribery, fraud, and breach of public trust charges, according to the Jerusalem Post website.

Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit gave his permission for the publication of the recommendations, and will make the final decision on whether to indict Netanyahu.

The case revolves around Netanyahu promoting regulations worth hundreds of millions of dollars to the Bezeq telecom company in exchange for positive coverage of the prime minister on Bezeq's subsidiary new website, Walla.

Police have already recommended indicting Netanyahu on corruption charges in two other cases.
