A U.S. drone airstrike killed Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahini in Kabul, Afghanistan, the Clarion Project website reports today (August 4, 2022).
Zawahini was the FBI's most wanted terrorist.
He was Osama bin Laden's top lieutenant and believed to have been the "operational brains" behind the 9/11 terror attacks.
