Tufts Univ.Bans Speech of Anthony Scaramucci; Due to Tufts Newspaper Writeup Critical of Him

Officials at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts have canceled an event with Anthony Scaramucci after President Trump's former communications director threatened a lawsuit over an opinion piece published in the student newspaper, the CBS News website reports today (November 27, 2017).

Scaramucci was scheduled to speak today at the university's Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, but Tufts canceled his speech.

Earlier this month, 26-year-old graduate student Camilo Caballero wrote a piece in The Tufts Daily newspaper criticizing Scaramucci's position on a Fletcher School advisory board.

Scaramucci's lawyer has threatened to take legal action against Tufts unless the newspaper retracts its "false and defamatory allegations of fact."
