At least 30 people were killed today (January 10, 2017) and another 80 injured in Afghanistan's capital, following two explosions near the offices of the parliament in Kabul, according to the Euro News website.
The United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister confirmed its ambassador to Afghanistan was injured in the attack.
A suicide bomber blew himself up, followed immediately afterwards by a car bomber, in what authorities say appears to have been a coordinated operation.
The Afghan Taliban claimed responsibility for the attacks.
