Anti-Semitic Graffiti Painted at Mass. Cemetery; Headstones Razed, "Kill Jews" Painted on One

Unidentified perpetrators spray painted the words "Kill Jews" and other anti-Semitic graffiti on headstones at a cemetery on Cape Cod in Massachusetts, the Times of Israel website reports today (January 14, 2017).

Several headstones were also knocked over at the Oak Neck cemetery in Hyannis, about 70 miles southeast of Boston.

One headstone was defaced with the numbers "4.20," an obvious reference to Adolf Hitler's birthday.

The incident comes amid a significant increase in anti-Semitic hate crimes in some parts of the United States -- including New York City -- following the presidential election in November.
