Taliban Prisoner Release May Fuel Impeachment; Obama Defied Oath of Office, Can Be Impeached

The impeach-Obama movement has been reinvigorated following the prisoner swap deal with the Taliban in Afghanistan that secured Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's release from captivity, the All Voices website reports today (June 6, 2014).

Several conservative scholars have called for the impeachment of President Barack Obama since the prisoner swap was announced.

Former New Jersey Superior Court Judge Andrew Napolitano told a Fox News audience this week that by exchanging high-level prisoners from Guantanamo Bay for Bergdahl, Obama committed an impeachable offense of "aiding and abetting terrorism."

The judge also said that since the Taliban prisoners are more likely to go back to being terrorists, "That's why I say the president may well have committed a federal crime by giving material assistance to a terrorist organization."

Napolitano argued that by taking the decision, Obama defied his oath of office to faithfully enforce federal law. "The president should be impeached for this," he added.
