COMMENTARY: Vice President Joe Biden Needs to End His Hateful Speeches

In a speech before a highly black crowd in Danville, Virginia yesterday (August 14, 2012), Vice President Joe Biden -- referring to Mitt Romney and other Republicans -- said, "They gonna put y'all back in chains."

Biden's words -- spoken with a southern accent -- clearly indicates that he was trying to convey to blacks and lower class whites that they will be treated like slaves if Romney is elected president of the United States.

Moreover, Biden's speech is racist and disgusting, because it attempts to divide America into black and white groups that are hostile toward each other.

Indeed, Biden's speech is so despicable that it has taken the 2012 presidential race to the scum of the earth -- and has made it the most hateful presidential race in American history! Consequently, it would not surprise us one iota if President Obama decides to have another running mate -- instead of Biden -- in this year's election.

Biden knows better than to speak such wicked and degrading words to Americans. Nonetheless, he used those words in an effort to to frighten Americans from voting for Romney for president.

The fact that Republicans received much positive publicity and support a day earlier -- as a result of Rep. Paul Ryan, a budget specialist par excellence, being chosen by Romney as his vice president -- was the key factor in Biden's determination to take the focus off that publicity by using shocking words and a southern accent.

Using such a ploy is an insult to the integrity of the American people. Biden needs to change his inhumane modus operandi to one that is sincere, and treats Americans with the respect to which they are entitled.

Otherwise, continuing his hateful speeches will surely backfire and inevitably lead to the defeat of the Democratic Party in this year's presidential election.
