At Least Six Killed in Car Bombing in SE Turkey; Turkey Blames Ind.-Seeking Kurds for Bombing

At least six people have died in a car bombing outside a police station in southeast Turkey, the Euro News website reports today (August 15, 2016).

Four police officers and two civilians were killed. Also, 25 people were wounded.

The explosion took place outside a police center on a busy road linking Diyabakir with the town of Batman.

Officials have blamed the Kurdistan Workers' Party for the bombing, as Kurds endeavor to establish an independent state in Turkey.
