Preacher Wins Nearly $19,000 for Illegal Arrest; Police in Scotland Detained Pastor on Hate Crime

A street preacher in the United Kingdom has won a settlement of nearly $19,000 in compensation and costs after being arrested, wrongfully, by police in Scotland, the WND website reports today (Jan. 14, 2024).

Street preacher Angus Cameron has won 5,500 lbs in compensation and 9,400 lbs in costs in settlement.

On the hook for the damages are police in Scotland, who detained the pastor of Cumnock Baptist Church over a "hate crime" that did not exist.
