Six young people from Portugal took on 32 countries in the European Court of Human Rights today (Sept.27, 2023) for failing to protect them against climate change, the EuroNews website reports.
The historic trial is the first time so many countries will have to defend themselves in front of any court in the world.
All 27 European Union member states, the UK, Turkey,Russia, and Norway are among the defendants.
