Enrollment Is Down in Many US Public Schools; Chicago, NYC, Boston Have More Empty Desks

 Enrollment is down for U.S. public elementary schools, the Newsy website reports today (August 23, 2022).

Chicago, LA, NYC, and Boston are seeing similar trends in empty desks.

Shrinking enrollment may force some districts in places like Denver, Indianapolis, and Kansas City,  Missouri to close schools entirely.
