Ohio Lawmakers OK Teachers Carrying Guns; Gov. DeWine Says He'll Sign the Bill into Law

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is set to approve a bill allowing public schools to arm their faculty, following the legislation's approval by the state legislature, the Worthy News website eports today (June 7, 2022).

The bill would require public school employees to spend an initial 24 hours in training before being allowed to carry firearms on the premises.

They would then need an additional eight hours annually to keep their permits valid.
