Carey Turns Down "Queen of Christmas" Moniker; Says That Honor Belongs to Mary, Mother of Jesus

Grammy-award-winning pop megastar Mariah Carey is rejecting the moniker "Queen of Christmas," saying it belongs to Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ,  the Christian Headlines website reports today (December 22, 2021).

Carey, whose career spans over three decades, received the Recording Industry Association of America Diamond Award earlier this month for her hit single, "All I Want for Christmas Is You."

It was through that song that Carey would be dubbed the "Queen of Christmas." But in a recent interview on BBC Radio 2,  Carey noted that she did not give herself the festive moniker and does not consider herself the "Queen of Christmas."
